Dr. Gregg Friedman is a 2nd generation chiropractor and has been practicing in Scottsdale/Phoenix, Arizona, since 1987. He loved treating patients but became very frustrated in the late 1990’s with the reimbursement system. He decided to learn everything he could about documentation and reimbursement. He quickly realized that a chiropractor’s reimbursement is in direct proportion to the quality of our documentation. He studied the Mercy Guidelines, which weren’t nearly as bad as we were all led to believe. He studied the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment. He studied research regarding pain and injury. Then he became certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. He ultimately discovered that what we think we need to document is quite different than what we actually need to document.
Through all of his education and research he discovered there are really only 3 things we need to document – our initial exams, our daily visits, and our re-exams!
Dr. Friedman is determined and dedicated to helping elevate our profession and helping doctors succeed. He truly loves speaking and teaching doctors. He’s been traveling all over the country ever since and has no plans to slow down.
