Dana Hollandsworth

Dr. Dana Hollandsworth is a Professor and Chiropractic Sciences Department Chair in the College of Chiropractic at Parker University where she has taught for almost 10 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Movement Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago. A Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic and a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Texas A&M Commerce.

Dr. Hollandsworth practiced in Washington State and Illinois before she was honored to join Parker University as a faculty member. Her initial role at Parker University was to coordinate and implement force-sensing table technology into the DC technique curriculum. While Parker University was an early adopter of this technology, she has enjoyed seeing it expand internationally into chiropractic education. Dr. Hollandsworth pioneered the application of this technology in the animal chiropractic realm in 2016 and has been part of an international research team focused on continuing it.

At Parker University, Dr. Hollandsworth teaches Foundations of Chiropractic and Science and Philosophy of the VSC in the Chiropractic Sciences Department. She is part of the Animal Chiropractic teaching team, occasionally speaks at professional conferences, and keeps her clinical skills sharp in her part-time animal chiropractic practice.

Dr. Hollandsworth also serves the profession by providing peer review for the Association of Chiropractic Colleges-Research Agenda Conference, the Chiropractic Educators Research Forum conference as well as for PACE continuing education applications. Her research interests include student motivation and mindset, psychomotor skill development, and analysis of manipulative force across various chiropractic adjusting techniques both in human and animal populations. She is published in Chiropractic & Manual Therapies, the Journal of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, and the Journal of Chiropractic Education.

In her spare time, Dr. Hollandsworth enjoys learning new things with her husband, Dr. Greg Hollandsworth, taking their fur kids for walks, and competing with her equine partner as an amateur show jumper.
